Principle
Alkaline Phosphatase cleaves p-nitrophenyl phosphate p- NPP)
in the presence of magnesium ions to form p nitrophenol and
phosphate.
The intensity of the yellow color formed is directly proportional to the Application alkaline phosphatase activity in the specimen and measured kinetically.
