Explanation of the test :
HCG Pregnancy Rapid Test Midstream is a rapid, one-step lateral flow immunoassay in midstream format for the qualitative detection of human chorionic gonadotropin (hCG) in urine to aid in the detection of pregnancy. The test utilizes a combination of antibodies including a monoclonal hCG antibody to selectively detect elevated levels of hCG. The assay is conducted by adding urine at the absorbent tip and obtaining the result from the colored lines.
Safety Information
1. Please read all the information in this package insert before performing the test
2. Do not use after the expiration date printed on the foil pouch.
3. Store in a dry place at 2-40°C. Do not freeze
4. Do not use it if the pouch is torn or damaged.
5. Keep out of the reach of children.
6. For in vitro diagnostic use. Not to be taken internally
7. Do not open the test midstream foil pouch until you are ready to start the test.
8. The used test midstream should be discarded according to local regulations.
Direction for Use
- Remove the midstream from the foil pouch and test them immediately
- Take down the cap of the midstream, hold the midstream so as to place the absorbent tip in the urine stream. Place the absorbent tip (>2/3) in urine in a clean cup for at least 15 seconds.
- Cover the cap on the testing midstream, then lay down the products on a clean and stable desk, start the timer immediately.
- Read the result in 3 minutes; don’t interpret the result after 5 minutes. For Professional use only.
Limitation
- Consult your physician before making any medical decisions due to potential for false results.
- Drugs containing hCG may lead to false positives.
- Very dilute urine may not show accurate hCG levels; if suspecting pregnancy, retest with first morning urine after 48 hours.
- Early pregnancy may show low hCG levels, confirmed with retest.
- Elevated hCG levels may not always mean pregnancy; rule out other conditions first.
False negatives can occur; retest after 48 hours if suspicion persists. Confirm pregnancy diagnosis with a physician.
